Role in World War II
Hitler was a major cause of World War II. He took control of the German government in 1933, and in 1939 he attacked and invaded Poland. This invasion sparked World War II. One of Hitler’s war crimes was genocide. Hitler attempted to kill off the entire Jewish population in Germany. Not only this, but Hitler used gas as a weapon. Hitler used gas chambers in the concentration camps, which the Jewish people would be entrapped in and would die as a result of the poison. Another war crime committed by Hitler was the forcing of healthy citizens into labor.
