Government and EffectsThe type of government run by Hitler was Nazism. As Hitler began to take action, he became known as the Führer, which means that he was the sole leader of the Nazi’s and their movement. As Hitler gained more power and more followers, he became a dictator. Under his rule, all other political parties were banned. The Nazis housed political prisoners in places known as concentration camps, where countless people had died. Hitler worked towards undoing the Treaty of Versailles, in order to bring Germany back to more power. He not only withdrew Germany from the League of Nations, but also rebuilt the German Army in such a way that it violated the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler then conquered Italy, and focused on defeating Britain and France. After some time, Hitler then shifted his focus to abolishing all of the Jewish citizens of Germany. The Nazis banned Jews from public places, and continued to murder them in concentration camps.
